Wildlife & Forestry Conservation is Personal Growth

Wildlife & Forestry conservation is more than protecting green spaces, animals and biodiversity—it is an active recognition of interdependence, a living expression of the principle that all life is connected. Just as forests rely on intricate relationships between soil, insects, plants, and animals, humans too are part of this delicate web, not separate from it.

Engaging in conservation deepens personal growth by cultivating humility, responsibility, and awareness; it asks us to move beyond individualism and toward stewardship. When we protect ecosystems, we also protect the conditions that sustain our own lives—clean air, water, food, and climate stability.

In this way, conservation becomes both an outward act of care for the planet and an inward journey, reminding us that our well-being is inseparable from the health of the natural world.

Hudson River Dolphin Advocacy Statement

Dolphins visiting the Hudson River—especially near Liberty Marina—are a powerful reminder of the river’s ongoing recovery and the importance of protecting our shared waterways. These remarkable animals depend on healthy ecosystems, clean water, and safe migration routes. Their presence tells a hopeful story, but it also calls us to action.

We advocate for the protection of dolphins in the Hudson by supporting responsible boating practices, reducing pollution, and safeguarding the fish populations they rely on for food. We encourage everyone on the river—mariners, residents, and visitors—to respect these wild animals by giving them space, observing from a distance, and helping keep the waters safe and clean.

Together, we can ensure that the Hudson River remains a thriving, welcoming habitat where dolphins can continue to grace our shores—reminding us of the resilience of nature and the role we all play in preserving it.
